Wendy

I used to be really fit. Exercise was just part of who I was. But after bereavements, work challenges, and everything that came with COVID, I lost that version of myself. My confidence dropped, the weight crept on, and my fitness hit an all-time low. I tried so many times to get back into exercise, but I couldn’t rebuild the consistency I once had. When I first saw photos of Parley Fitness Club, I honestly thought, “That’s not for me.” Training outside, in the cold and dark, felt like the perfect excuse not to try. But towards the end of summer 2025, I reached out to Morgan. From the beginning, he was welcoming, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right classes after such a long break from structured exercise. From my very first session, I felt at ease. Everyone was so friendly that it didn’t take long before I felt like I belonged. I originally thought this would just be another short- lived “fitness phase” to get me through until winter. However, the seasons changed and I kept showing up, looking forward to both the exercise and seeing the other members. I became part of a real fitness family. Ten months later, I’m still here and still loving it. I’ve gone from one class a week to 3–4, and the sessions are always varied, challenging, and fun. Fit Club is part of my routine and lifestyle. Joining Fit Club has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I feel stronger, healthier, and more like myself again than I have in years. There’s so much laughter, encouragement, and support. I’m part of a community that’s helped me get fitter, keeps me progressing, and gladly coming back for more.

Fit Club has made a huge difference for me. After taking a break from exercise, coming back through the small class format was one of the best decisions I could have made. I’ve built real consistency, made great progress, and genuinely feel better for being around such a great group of people. Morgan creates a supportive and motivating environment that never feels intimidating, whatever your fitness level. It’s more than just workouts — it’s a community that keeps you coming back and improving. I couldn’t recommend it more.

At 35, I never imagined I’d be where I am today. Six years ago, I was diagnosed with Leukaemia and underwent a stem cell transplant and intense chemotherapy, that at one point left me unsure if I would even walk again. When I was finally discharged, dog walks in the forest became my way of rebuilding strength, both physically and mentally. Wanting to push myself further, I discovered Fit Club at Parley Manor and met Morgan. Training outdoors completely changed my perspective on fitness. Simply being outside, with everything the weather has to offer, feels right for me. What’s harder in the Winter becomes a privilege in the Summer. Morgan’s sessions are well thought out and no two are ever the same. The timetable and class types cover all aspects of my fitness. We work hard and keep progressing, but Morgan’s energy is infectious and every session lifts your mood. What really makes Fit Club special is the inclusive and uplifting environment. The people there are supportive and encouraging, and themselves. I look forward to seeing the group as much as I do the exercise. Roll on the next BBQ!

I want to talk about how friendly everyone is, and how it's not like going to a commercial gym. Being outside early in the morning seems to massively improve my day; the routine of getting up, exercising and being around a group of like-minded people is something I’ve grown to love – even in January. Morgans enthusiasm and support is endless, and it’s clear he has a really deep passion and love for the community of people he's helped create. Not forgetting the coaching! I’ve gone from a position of a reasonably `fit’ runner who did no weights, to someone who’s added strength and muscle through consistent progressive resistance training. I'm fitter, stronger and absolutely despise burpees. The constant of Fit Club has been the real the winner. Lovely in the summer and harder in the Winter, either way, I just keep training. The progress is fab, the people are great, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who hates gyms!
